October round up of activities

October was a wonderfully vibrant month filled with creativity, laughter, and community spirit. Residents embraced the change of season with hands-on crafts, lively entertainment, and cultural celebrations. From autumn-themed décor to festive Halloween fun, the month offered countless moments of joy and togetherness.

We began October with charming embroidery hoop pumpkins, followed by heart-warming visits from Wag & Co.’s friendship dogs much to Maggie’s delight when she met a furry friend who shared her name. Creative sessions continued with flower arranging, bingo mornings, Knit & Natter, and thoughtful 1-1 activities. A highlight for many was the fantastic Rock ’n’ Roll afternoon featuring Mike Memphis, who brought Elvis Presley’s classics to life. As Diwali approached, residents crafted beautiful Rangoli-inspired designs, enjoyed an Indian-themed lunch, and even embarked on armchair travels to India.

The month wrapped up with a series of Halloween-themed activities that sparked plenty of smiles. Residents got into the spooky spirit with Halloween crafts, Fitness Friday exercises, a lively party with Alex Hall, and a fun-filled Halloween day complete with games like witch’s hat ring toss and bingo. October truly showcased the warmth, creativity, and companionship that make our community special.
