The Operations Manager will ensure that all activities are aligned with the organisation’s mission and goals, and that resources are effectively utilised to maximise impact. You will also develop and implement operational policies and procedures, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Operations Manager candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field such as adult social care/social housing. Alternatively, they should have vocational qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience in care or housing management, preferably within the nonprofit sector. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse team and collaborating with stakeholders. Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of nonprofit budget management, program evaluation, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ability to think strategically, problem-solve, work unsupervised and adapt to changing circumstances is crucial in this role.

As senior you will work closely with the Care Quality Lead and the Registered Manager.
Your role will be to support the staff on duty in maintaining and delivering the highest standards of care to our residents within the care home including assisting with the administration and ordering of medication, supervisions and care planning.
The role requires individuals who are passionate, caring and want to make a difference to the lives of our elderly residents. Being proactive and reactive within your role is key to knowing when and how to act in every situation.
You will be working 35 hours a week at Beddell House, which is a residential care home for older adults on a private country estate based in Sherburn House in County Durham.
Candidates are required to hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care – Level 4 is desirable and will ideally have a supervisory/management qualification.
You must have experience in administration of medication as well as line management of staff and care planning.
Hourly Rate: £14.32 per hour
Full-time – 35 hrs per week

As a care assistant you will be meeting the individual care and support for residents in a way that respects their dignity and promotes their independence.
