1.0 Scope
1.1 This document sets out the charity’s visiting procedure following the government Coronavirus advice, to manage infection control protocols within our residential care home, operational business and the charity’s estate and its properties.
2.0 Aims and Values
2.1 Sherburn House Charity has a duty of care to protect and safeguard its residents and staff, and put measures in place to do so, minimising the risks to its residents’ and staff safety and wellbeing.
3.0 Safety
3.1 On entry to Beddell House visitors must sign in using the visitor e-tablet located at reception and have their picture taken for their visitor ID badge.
3.2 Pictures are deleted on the e-tablet system when visitors sign out upon exiting Beddell House.
4.0 Infection Control
4.1 All visitors, residents and staff must adhere to the rigorous hand hygiene and infection control protocols in place on entry and exit to Beddell House (and Ramsey House).
4.2 This procedure remains under review as government guidance may change.
5.0 Visitors to the Care Home
5.1 All visitors to the care home will be asked to provide a negative covid test prior to entry.
5.2 All staff and visitors must follow our current hand washing protocols this is an instruction to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can.
5.3 Should anyone refuse to follow these safety measures they will be denied entry into the care home.
6.0 Visitors to Ramsey House
6.1 Internal meetings may take place either virtually or in rooms that are large enough to accommodate an appropriate number of staff safely with the room windows open
6.2 External meetings may take place virtually, via various technological options suited to the people involved: Conference calls / Microsoft Teams/ Zoom Calls / WhatsApp / Video links.
7.0 Visitors to the Church
7.1 The church remains closed until further notice.
