Ferens House underwent a refurbishment in 2019-20 to a high standard, offering 6 self-contained apartments, each one bed-roomed apartment has a shower room, open plan living area and kitchen with electric cooker and hob.
Access to the property is gained via a secure intercom system from the main entrance which provides access into the communal hall and three ground floor flats with stairs rising to the first-floor landing to the three first floor apartments. All apartments have their own lockable front door and benefit from good quality flooring and carpets.
Communal areas are cleaned by the housekeeping team on a weekly basis. cleaning services are available on request. Residents have the opportunity to join in group activities with residents of Thornley House, such as coffee afternoons in the communal room in Thornley House.
The apartments are accessible via a secure door with video intercom system, which leads into a communal hallway. There is off street parking available around the complex, and next to Ferens House.
The apartments are surrounded by countryside views, and a picturesque garden with a greenhouse for resident use, to the side of the property.

The Occupation Charge covers all building repairs and maintenance. Grounds maintenance is also included for all year-round enjoyment of the conservation site.
Residents can also enjoy the main extensive beautiful grounds to the front of Thornley House.
Communal activities with charitable partners are often provided and you can participate as much or as little as you like. Residents also benefit from access to social events provided on site by our Registered Care Home, Beddell House.

There is fast fibre broadband installed in each apartment. Tenants are responsible for choosing their own provider and arranging for connection.
